After spending over an hour on the blower with tech. support, trying to get FCP6 to talk to my Canon HV 20, the chap on the phone says "Is there a 'reset' button on the camera?" I tell him I don't think so ...... but there is! It's under the battery. So I hit it .... and as if by magic, everything worked.
